Student Council
We believe that our students' opinions matter and that every student can learn responsibility and develop leadership skills at Roosevelt Elementary School. This is why every student is a member of the student council. In addition, our second and third grade classes have representatives and class officers. Students work together to plan and carry out activities during the school year. They also run a student store, which is open two days a week.
The student council program, led by Mrs. Franke and Mrs. Metrillo, has proven to be a successful way for our students to develop everyday skills as they work together to create a school they love.
Our third through fifth grade students had their student council speeches and election. Each class will have a representative to the council. The council will start having dress up Fridays, student store sales, hallway monitors, and other activities to help keep Roosevelt one of the best schools in the North End.
